TORONTO, March 4 /CNW/ – OnX Enterprise Solutions Ltd., a leading IT solutions provider and one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed companies in 2008 and 2009, today announced the acquisition of an ownership share in FoxWise Technologies Inc, one of Canada’s leading Aboriginal IT companies.
“As we continue to grow our business we want to provide our clients with options for the procurement of IT solutions”, stated Ed Vos, President of OnX. “Partnering with a known and trusted partner that has a stellar reputation like FoxWise, not only makes good business sense, but it also allows OnX the opportunity to collaborate with Aboriginal people in strengthening the Canadian economy through Canada’s PSAB (Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business). This acquisition is congruent with OnX’s corporate values, cultures and goals.”
“I believe this acquisition will take FoxWise to the next level in helping us to achieve one of our overriding goals, which is to bridge the gap between the high-tech industry and First Nations. This will be accomplished by the development of an Aboriginal workforce through the process of recruiting, training and hiring”, stated Sam Damm, President of FoxWise. “This partnership will support the Federal Framework for Aboriginal Economic Development by giving us access to a larger network of technical resources which will increase our visibility, bringing our status to a national scale with marketing opportunities across Canada.”
